Draw Cards Phase. B Change one Mission plus draws and pays for Royal Marriage plus Subjugate. I think B is going to use a lot of diplomatic power, but we’ll see.

  • Idea Bot Card. Military Idea.

B

  • Plays Action Card Royal Marriage and places in Brunswick where there’s already a Alliance. Additionally B completes one of it’s Missions ‘Hohenzollern Dynasty’, and gets 2 Prestige and 2 influence.

P

  • Papal Curia. P places one cardinal.

A

  • Places Army in Austria.

Turn 2

K

  • Focus Warfare. K alread have a focus there and therefore Score the matching Milestone, gaining 5 prestige. (Prestige score now K=11, P=4, B=3, A=1). K is now in a comfortable lead!

B

  • Plays Action Card Subjugate, Vassalizing Brunswick.

P

  • Poland converts Crimea to Catholicism.

A

  • Siege Österreich and takes it back from the pesky rebels! The citizens rejoice!

Turn 3

K

  • Plays Bot Card Spy. Adds unrest to Azov and Krakow.

B

  • Uses its ‘Spy Network’ to ‘Sow Discontent’ in Kalmar union. 2 unrest.

P

  • Alliance with Lithuania (which is a great Realm!).

A

  • Event. They pick the Kalmar Event ‘Death of Adolph VIII’. Not much happpens, but Österreich develops into large Town!

Turn 4

  • Focus on Economy

B

  • Chooses the Brandenburg Event:
  • B chooses B) since Berlin is already Large Town, and loses 2 prestige, but gains a claim in PRUSSIA, and gain a military power. A new king also! All Hail, Johan II Cicero!

P

  • Declares War on ‘Owner of Silesia’, which I conclude is Bohemia. A as Holy Roman Emperor (HRE) receives and accepts a defensive call to arms and is declared as ‘Defending the HRE’. A declare war on P.
  • P army defeats a puny army in Silesia.

A

  • Bot Card Unrest. Removes unrest.

Turn 5

K

  • Unrest. Removes unrest.

B

  • Declares war on PRUSSIA. TAkes a free recruit action (could’ve choosen to move instead, but with only one infantry it would’ve been suicide!). Now they have an army of 2 regular inf and one merc inf. John II had to take a loan for that!

P

  • Siege Silesia.

A

  • Recruits a new army and marches in the defense of the Empire. The armies meet in WIELKOPOLSKA.
  • Both Bots roll 5 dice each. A takes 3 casualties and P only 1. Another round of dice-rolling: A takes 3 more and P 4 more. P now have 2 inf left and A have 1. More dice! A take it’s last inf as a casualty and P lose one more.

Turn 6

K

  • Focus Economics and gets a new milestone and 5 prestige more! Kalmar Union is a runaway leader!

B

  • National Focus.

P

  • Move it’s army to Bohemia after recruiting. Meets Bohemian army and gets wiped!

  • Pass.

Turn 7

  • Focus Expansion

B

  • March into PRUSSIA! Battle! B lose 2 inf. One of them the merc of course! They’re less costly when they’re acting as compost in our new land. With unbelievable luck and with the king in the vanguard B manage to kill off all rebels in a go! PRUSSIA is controlled now. Just a little sieging to do…

P

  • Event – picks ‘Comet Sighted’ All lose stability. P gets 2 BP.

Turn 8

K

  • Event – ‘Heretics’. In Jutland and Lower Rhine. Future problems for B and K since there is diverse faith tokens there now.

B

  • Sieges 1 province in Prussia.

P

  • Pass

Turn 9

K

  • Pass, B gets one more turn, then phase is over.

B

  • Sieges 1 province more in Prussia. Finito.

Next is NPR invasion. Interesting!
